Tank Maniacs FAQ

What is this Tank Maniacs I heard SO much about?

Tank Maniacs is local multiplayer party game for 1-4 players. It’s mostly about destroying your closest friends’ hopes and dreams with weird tanks.

How many tanks do you have in the game?

We have 11 wonderfully weird tanks at the moment. We will add more as soon as they are ready for testing.

How many maps can I play on?

There are 7 different maps in the beta build and we’re continuously adding more during the beta.

How many friends can I play with?

Currently it’s 4 players, but we’re planning to support local multiplayer for up to 8 players.

I don’t have any friends. Can I still play?

We’ll be your friends. Although you can still play alone, we will simply fill your party with AI controlled BOTs. They are unforgiving. Nice, but unforgiving.

I need this game in my life right now. What should I do?

You’re in luck, currently we’re in closed beta on PC, so all you need to do is to click this link and sign up. Hopefully we have a Steam key for you.

How long will you be in beta?

It mostly depends on the feedback you give us during this period. We are planning on releasing the game on Steam Early Access in Q2 2019.

What platforms are you going to support?

Tank Maniacs will be available first on PC, then on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, moreover we’re working on Mac and Linux versions as well.

When will you release the game?

We’re planning to release the game in the second half of 2019. But, you know… Developers.

The game looks amazing as it is. Why don’t you just release it?

Well, tank you very much. First of all we need the feedback of amazing people like you, because we want to make Tank Maniacs the best damn party game that ever was. Secondly we have a lot of other features, game modes, tanks and maps in the works that we want to include in the final version of the game

What kind of specs do I need to run this masterpiece?

We’re still optimizing the performance. This should do it:

  • OS: Windows 7 (32 bit)
  • Processor: Intel i3-3240 @ 3.40 Ghz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Storage: 500 MB available space
  • Sound Card: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

But it’s much better if you have something like this:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • Processor: Intel i7 920 @ 2.7 GHz, AMD Phenom II 945 @ 3.0 GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 660, Radeon R9-270
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Storage: 500 MB available space
  • Sound Card: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Can I keep the game after the beta?

Sure thing. If you become our test pilot, then we will thank you for your service by giving you Tank Maniacs for free.

How can I give you feedback or report a bug?

Easy. You can join our Discord Server and talk to our people, or post it on our Reddit page for everyone to see, or you can send and email to our support staff. They are pretty cool people, too.

What kind of controllers do you support?

We support pretty much all controllers that you can connect to your PC. If you find one that we don’t send us a mail and we’ll try to sort it out.

I don’t have any controllers. What should I do now?

Don’t worry, we got you covered. Soon, we’ll release a downloadable controller app for Android and iOS devices. It’s free, of course.

Can I get a high five?

Sure.

I want to make you guys famous. Can I make YouTube or Twitch content from Tank Maniacs?

Absolutely. We’re glad that you find our game so much fun that you want to share it with your community.

What is Gamelab?

We’re an indie game developer studio based in Budapest, Hungary.

Is Tank Maniacs your first game?

Nope. We’ve published a cute hand-drawn runner called Wormster Dash. You can check it out, it’s available on Steam, Android and iOS.
